The iconic "Portland, Oregon" sign from the Burnside Bridge in spring. The sign has gone through several evolutions, but has always had the map of Oregon. The "White Stag" clothing company added the deer and the city of Portland added the current text. Every spring, flowering cherry trees festoon Waterfront Park below the sign. An old wooden water tower bearing the moniker "Old Town" occupies the rooftop next to the sign.
